We’ve all heard about the Affordable Care Act (ACA). From an IT perspective, the implementation of ACA required a series of events to simultaneously occur in all 50 states, to integrate and interact with the new IT service applications provided by the federal government.
The rollout of the HealthCare.gov marketplace website did not go so well. But each state has its own State Health Insurance Exchange, and most have rolled out their own website. For about half of the states, that rollout was well planned, organized and successful, with no major issues. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is one of those states.
